Eiffel Tower

he design is complicated and intricate, far more than it appears from a distance. The metal is held together with more than 2 million rivets. These metal pieces, each so small, work together to hold up the massive structure. You can take an elevator or climb (many!) stairs up into the tower. About seven million visitors a year do just that. The magnificence, the history, and the universal recognition of the Eiffel Tower combine to make it a one-of-a-kind marvel. You will be able to take amazing pictures of the City of Paris. In fact, these are pictures you are likely to treasure for years to come.

Palace of Versailles

It’s one of the world’s biggest palaces. The gardens of Versailles span across 800 hectares and comprise 200,000 trees, 50 fountains and a 5.57km canal. From March to October there is a Musical Fountain Show where you can enjoy the spectacular fountains spouting to the rhythm. More than just a palace, Versailles has important historical significance in French history and it is considered a symbol of the power – and corruption - of the absolute monarchy of France. The suburban town of Versailles is only around 12 miles away from Paris, making it an ideal day trip from the French capital.

Louvre Museum

The Louvre is a landmark in itself. It's iconic entrance, a pyramid made entirely of glass, was completed in 1989 and is by far its most identifiable feature. The Louvre is one of the worlds largest museums with over 15,000 visitors a day. On the right bank of the Seine it, to this day, remains one of the worlds most visited museums. One of the most famous greek sculptures to exist can be found in the Louvre. The Venus de Milo, said to depict Aphrodite, the greek goddess of love and beauty, remains on permanent display.
